Traditional West African Ashiko Drum:
Origins of this conical drum are traced to the Yorba culture primarily in present day Nigeria & Benin. The hide is played with the hands, and tuned by a rope tie system, featuring a 10″ diameter playable head space. Standing at 30″ tall and 11″ at the widest binding, the Ashiko Drum carries a bass tone with deep resonance.
