Wow!!! All original, one owner, vintage Gretsch 6119! This iconic piece of music history is finally making it’s way out of a collector’s storage and into your heart! Just cleaned up and set up with a set of fresh D’Addario ECG24 flatwound chromes, this beauty plays just as warm and smooth as the 60’s summer heat. Frets have minimal wear, time has been kind to the majority of this baby. The places you’ll find the age are on the palm side of the fretboard bindings where some repaired cracking has occurred as the binding contracted. A few of the pickup ring screw holes have also started to show some splitting but have been repaired as well and so are not loose. A little bit of scratchy-ness on a couple of the pots when they’re in motion, and tinge of classic buckle rash on the back is just about all else to be said on the downsides. On the plus sides, well, we’d need a few more paragraphs to fit in all of the awesome this guitar brings to the table!
