Model 45 instruments are constructed with a solid Spruce top and Maple back and sides. Po River varnishes the model 45 with an antique nitro lacquer. This instrument includes with Ebony fittings, German made Wittner Ultra Tailpiece and a French Maple bridge. It is also strung up with Thomastik Alphayue. Because of this, the viola sounds rich and vibrant. The Po River PA45R viola includes a protective shaped case and includes a fiberglass bow.
